Garden Design - Primrose Hill, London NW1

- The sloping area will be utilised with terraced raised beds - this will
create several levels in the garden, and lead the eye up the space to a long
raised bed along the back of the plot
- A planting palette of plums and pink, incorporating hardy perennials as
well as semi evergreen and evergreen shrubbery, will give year round colour
to the garden. The foliage will be specially chosen for unusual texture and
form, which will help to increase the sense of drama within the space
- All plants will be low maintenance and easy care
- A large decked area will be bounded by raised beds on 3 sides to create a
space for family entertaining and dining, and will give a sense of enclosure
and focus to the garden
- An elaborate water consisting of a tiled water trough traversing the width
of the garden will add extra interest and colour to the space. A powerful
water pump and filter will keep the water clean and sparkling and give the
opportunity to add fish if desired
- Pots placed on the decking will allow for simple over-wintering of frost
sensitive plants
- The rendered walls will be painted in alternated shades of plum, lilac and
white, to reflect the planting palette, adding year round colour with a
sophisticated feel
