Garden Design - Walthamstow, London E17

The design features deep beds packed with hardy shrubs and perennials to provide year round interest
Zig-zagging down the centre of the space will be a turf pathway, edged with slate tiles, sending the user on a dynamic journey to the bottom of the garden. At the turn of each corner, the slate edging will extend into slightly larger tiled areas, giving the client space to display a selection of potted plants
Two small pergolas will arch over the pathway, upon which rambling climbers will be trained. These structures will provide instant height and enclosure to the space, giving the garden a greater sense of seclusion and drama
The grass pathway will terminate in a slate tiled patio at the bottom of the garden. This area will provide ample space for a bench or other seating, creating an area in which to relax in relative privacy
The small beds on either side of the existing paved area will be planted out, softening the paving, and helping to bring the garden a little closer to the house. The paving itself will be left untouched, allowing the client to add their own pots and object d'art
