Essex Garden Design diary week 10

It’s been another busy busy week in our Essex Garden Design studio…

Katrina has been busy this week with quotes. She went to visit a client in Chingford who is having a house built and is needing to get some plans drawn up to help with planning applications. Katrina had a long and detailed meeting on site with the client who has a very specific idea of what he wants. Earth Designs are to work closely with the client to make sure the planning goes through smoothly.

Earth Designs won their first build job in Leigh on Sea this week and we are thrilled with the client’s decision to get the garden done. They contacted Earth Designs after tracking us down online and called us in a couple of weeks ago to look at their garden. Katrina went to present to them on Thursday evening and they were excited with the presentation which had ‘far exceeded their expectations’. They said ‘yes’ straight away and Matt is just getting the contracts drawn up.

Katrina has also been busy in the studio putting the finishing touches to the presentation for our current Leytonstone client. This small space really packs a punch with the lush verdant planting scheme. It is now in Matt’s hands for quoting and specification. Katrina is due to present it next week.

It’s been a week to get out and about. Katrina has spent some time in Leigh Broadway, our local high street, introducing herself to shop owners. The broadway has a high concentration of independent retailers and design/home interiors/artsy type shops and as a result many the businesses have kindly agreed to display some of our postcards for the perusal of their customers. We are offering free design consultations in the local area to get our name established.

With the convent project now almost complete, apart from the plants, Matt and the team have been busy with preparations on our next project in West London…
