London Garden Design diary week 9

Work on the North London Garden Build continues. The paving installation is well underway, with the sett, slab and gravel pathway half completed. Next task will be to install the black limestone patio at the back of the space.

Katrina has completed the garden design in Wimbledon. The client wanted to freshen up his garden with a planting scheme and some artificial lawn. He also wished to include some new planters and Katrina suggested painting their existing grey rendered wall a warm shade of Aubergine. A set of outdoor canvases helps to personalise the space and will be something the client can take to Australia when he emigrates with his family next year. The front garden is also getting a makeover with the inclusion of a mature hedge and a blossom tree.

The final touches are being put on the Walthamstow garden design. Matt has started pulling the budget and garden scope of works together ready for the presentation next weekend. Katrina will continue with the formal front garden design over the weekend, so Matt can work on that this coming week.

Earth Designs will be placing advertorial in the Mail on Sunday Homes and Garden Magazine in a couple of weeks, so we have had a lot of work to do choosing images, writing copy and signing off artwork. Fingers crossed it gets seen by lots of people brings the opportunity to work on some exciting new gardens.

Katrina went to visit a client looking for a garden design in Essex. It is a relatively new build property in Hockley with a large yet uninspiring garden. After a lengthy design consultation she decided to proceed with a design package and Matt completed the site survey the next day. Katrina has now gone away with the scamp and the measurements to work her magic in the design studio.

Matt has been asked to give a cost estimate on the proposed roof garden design. The client wants some rough costs to see whether their budget will allow for the proposed work after they have paid for their loft extension.
