East London Landscaper’s Diary – Week 19

garden design

East London Landscaper's Diary

Katrina went to present the garden design in East London. The client had requested a freshening up of the space in anticipation of a “man cave” being built at the bottom of the garden. They want to create the maximum amount of space for their son but also retain screening from the neighbouring houses. Katrina suggested pleached trees, artificial lawn and then sectioning off the patio at the front nearest the house by including a raised sleeper bed. This will create plenty of space but gives the client the option of including a sofa if they wished. Katrina is waiting to hear whether they wish to progress with the design.

Katrina also went to visit a client looking for a garden design in Walthamstow. She has lived at the property for a number of years and wishes to unite the house with the office at the bottom of the garden. She loved Katrina’s ideas and commissioned to design there and then.

Katrina also it presented a landscape design in Woodford. The client had a very long thin garden and wanted a design solution to give them a low maintenance garden which they could enjoy. Two lawns are interlinked with a rose archway tunnel travelling down the length of the garden with a sandstone pathway finishing at the summer house.
