Our range of services is as follows:
1. CONSULTATION
This service is FREE to anyone within a 5-mile radius of the Earth Designs office. The service involves a 1-hour site visit by our designer to discuss the client's requirements and the potential for their garden. Over 5 miles there is a mileage charge for a 2-hour consultation: £100 plus VAT for between 5 and 10 miles, £130 plus VAT for between 10 and 40 miles, and for further afield please enquire. This consultation is usually enough to spark some ideas for you. If you decide not to proceed to the next stage of the design and build process, all chargeable design consultation clients will be left with any concept drawings and notes produced during the consultation. We regret that free 1-hour consultation clients cannot be left with the concept drawing and notes.
2. DESIGN PACKAGE
Following on from the consultation, this service includes a full site survey, scaled design drawings, visualisation, planting scheme, and spiral bound presentation including a detailed construction budget (based on Earth Designs project managing). Every design is tailor-made to the client's specifications. This service starts at £500 plus VAT.
3. POSTAL DESIGN PACKAGE
A DIY kit posted to the client to enable them to complete their own site survey and answer a comprehensive questionnaire about their garden and their requirements. Earth Designs will respond to the information provided with a detailed design package including step-by-step guides to completing the projects involved*. This service is not based upon Earth Designs project managing the implementation of the design and as such will not include a budget unless specifically requested. This package would make a unique gift. Prices start from £165 plus VAT. *Conditions apply
4. ONE DAY ATTACK
This is a 'deep clean' for your garden and usually involves the services of two or more gardeners and labourers for one day (depending on size of garden). The facility includes tidying, clearing, weeding, pruning or removal of shrubs (if required), re-conditioning soil, cleaning hard surfaces, and any other general requirements to get the garden into a more manageable state. Service does not include any planting, construction, materials, tree surgery or waste removal. Prices from £350 plus VAT.
5. PLANTING SCHEME
A simple design service that provides the client with a soft-landscaping and planting scheme to suit their requirements. Prices vary.
6. GARDEN BUILD
This usually follows on from a design package, and is a top-to-tail service from concept through to creation. Wherever possible, all work is completed 'in-house', including hard landscaping, fencing, structural design, planting, and water features. Other services, such as tree surgery and electrical installation, are out-sourced to specially selected professionals. A senior member of the Earth Designs team will oversee the project at all times while work is underway.
The total price of the build will be marked on the budget supplied in the design package. We are able to schedule work according to the client's availability and budgetary requirements by completing the project in stages if required. As this service usually entails a complete redesign of the space, prices will vary dramatically from £8000 to £80,000 plus VAT. However, as a guide you would normally be looking at a minimum of £10,000 plus VAT for a fairly basic garden build, with an average cost of £20,000 - £25,000 plus VAT.
